HID Crescendo devices enable organizations to improve their security posture and make progress towards removing passwords from their logical access control systems.
The study of security breaches has provided strong evidence that using passwords represent the largest risk factor for any organization. Either supplementing passwords with additional authentication factors, or outright replacing them with strong authentication devices is the best way to protect users, applications and data.

Keyboard Wedge - With the keyboard wedge functionality, users of OMNIKEY 5x27 CK readers can retrieve data from a card that is presented to the reader and directly input the card data into an application using keystroke emulation. This eliminates the need for customers to manually enter the card data into an application on a Windows PC. Some copier manufactures of MFD's do support this mode.
CCDI (Circuit Card Interface Device)- Is used by office equipment manufactures to read card data information directly into the device. This often requires the equipment manaufacture to have developed a driver which is loaded onto the hardware to intergarte the two devices.
